  • Fuccillo Kia Holiday Challenge is a Match Made in Heaven

    We're basking in a holiday afterglow of gratitude in the wake of the special delivery of a $100,000 check from Fuccillo Kia just before Christmas.

    The Fuccillo Kia Holiday Challenge has helped the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida raise more than $559,000 since Thanksgiving, plus a $100,000 donation from Fuccillo Kia of Cape Coral. The donation was presented to the food bank on Christmas Eve.

  • Walmart Helps Spruce Up Food Bank's Fort Myers Warehouse

    Walmart swept into the Harry Chapin Food Bank with a group of workers recently to provide more than $5,000 worth of improvements to spruce up our Fort Myers warehouse.  The food bank appreciates their donations of goods, time and energy to help the food bank run more efficiently in its fight against hunger in Southwest Florida.

    Walmart’s efforts included upgrading a food pantry in the warehouse, expanding the holding capacity to 126 feet.

  • Ritz-Carlton employees pack 40,000 meals

    The lights were bright on the 20-foot-tall Christmas tree in the lobby of the Ritz- Carlton Beach Resort in Naples, but not as bright as the smiles on the faces of about 75 Ritz Carlton staff members who gave up part of their weekend to give back to those in need.

    Our Thanksgiving turkey drive ended Friday with a total of about 1,400 birds donated by the public. Thanks to all who brought in their last-minute fowl so those in need can have a Happy Thanksgiving to share with their families.     Publix Charities Donates $120,000 to HCFB

    The air was festive and the front loading dock of Harry Chapin Food Bank was a sea of green today, as a small army of Publix Super Markets officials and associates in their signature green shirts delivered a semi-tractor trailer load of food for those in need.
