THIRTEEN VOLUNTEERS JOIN FORCES

TO FIGHT DOMESTIC HUNGER

Ameriprise financial advisors from North Fort Myers joined forces with their colleagues, clients, family, and friends recently to help fight domestic hunger.  Thirteen volunteers spent three hours at the Harry Chapin Food Bank packing rice and beans, which will be distributed to those in need.

The volunteers’ participation was part of a national day of service organized by Ameriprise across 44 states committed to volunteering at approximately 250 hunger relief organizations in their local communities.

Kathleen Black, Ameriprise advisor who organized the volunteers, said, “Learning that one-in-six Americans--including nearly 20 million children--face hunger immediately made me want to join the company in supporting this cause. Collectively, I know we’re making a difference, and I am glad that our efforts could directly support Harry Chapin Food Bank, a hunger relief organization in our own community.”
