Panera Bread’s tent at the 2011 WINK News Feeds Families Hunger Walk was a popular part of the 3rd annual event.  Participants were provided with an assortment of pastries prior to the walk.  Panera Bread will be the 2012 presenting sponsor of the 4th annual event, which has a goal of raising $250,000 for the Harry Chapin Food Bank.

PANERA BREAD AGAIN

TO SUPPORT HUNGER WALK

New 5K Run To Be Added

Panera Bread will again be the presenting sponsor for the 4th annual WINK News Feeds Families Hunger Walk and 5K Run on Saturday, January 21, 2012.  The walk is a major fund raiser for the Harry Chapin Food Bank and will again be held at the host site, Miromar Outlets, Estero.  The 2012 event will include something new and exciting—a 5K run; details will be available soon on this part of the 2012 event.

Panera’s $15,000 sponsorship, leads the necessary business and corporation support needed to meet the $250,000 goal for this year’s walk.  The 2011 hunger walk resulted in $220,000, which meant that the Harry Chapin Food Bank could provide over $1 million in food and service to its participating agencies.

Businesses interested in becoming a sponsor, forming teams, and or providing additional support for the hunger walk should contact Marta Hodson, 334-7007, ext. 132, or email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
